Our herd is made up of a variety of horses that differ in age, personality and experience. This allows us to find a horse that will fit with almost every rider that comes through our program. These horses are well loved and well respected as without them we wouldn’t be able to provide the quality of services we do.

Our Herd

Bella-

Bella is a 16 year old AQHA mare. This little mare has been with me for 8 years now and is my pride and joy. She has done everything in her life from being a mama, to winning checks, to roping bulls and gathering hills. In her older years Bella has a deep love of small humans and can be trusted to pack and care for our littles. But don’t let that fool you, she still has a big gas pedal and loves to see a trailer coming down the road, this mare is always ready to go to work. We love our sweet and spicy mare and all the value she brings to everyone she meets. Her favorite snacks are dill pickle sunflower seeds and nature valley granola bars, and she will turn to jello for a good belly scratch.

Bill-

Bill is a 15 years old grade gelding. This sweet man is as patient as the day is long and will happily play dress up or visit your tea party. He’s our go to for first rides and beginners as he is not phased by much and generally prefers to stroll through whatever adventure we have planned. He does still get up and boogie when you ask him to and has that classic rocking horse lope everyone loves. Bill is also our resident chatterbox, if he’s around and things are happening you won’t miss his calls and knickers as he wants to be involved. He’s a sucker for snacks of any kind and adores tiny humans.

Bonnie-

Bonnie is a 13 year old Appendix (Quarter Horse and Thoroughbred) mare. Bonnie is our resident mama mare and has enjoyed being a broodmare the last few years. This sweet girl adores attention and being pampered so she is excellent for teaching grooming, general horse care, and safe handling. Due to an old injury and some scarring on her front legs she can only handle light riding. Thankfully because of her temperament and training she is an excellent step up mount for older kids and young teens. No one told Bonnie she is limited though, and this short gal definitely has days that her thoroughbred side will show and she will speed walk like nobody's business. Bonnie and all her sweet babies are always a herd favorite.

Lorrie (Lorretta)-

Lorrie is Bonnie’s 2024 filly and she is a draft cross. This young lady has taken after her mama and is very affectionate with people. She is usually the first to meet us at the gate and always waiting to jump in the trailer for an adventure. Although she is too young to ride Lorrie is excellent at teaching groundwork and safety with young horses and is always excited for a grooming session in the barn. We are so so excited about this not-so-little filly’s future.

Ellie (Elloise)-

Ellie is Bonnie’s 2025 filly and is a quarter horse cross. Due to her sire’s coloring Ellie is going to be quite the colorful gal; she was born bay but will shed out to black and then eventually fade to gray as she ages. Whatever color she may be this spunky little filly brings a big personality with her. Playful and curious she is always happy to join her mama while she’s working and can usually be found getting into trouble while Bonnie is distracted. As she grows Ellie will slowly be added to the program just like her sister Lorrie and we know she will do great things.

Our herd is constantly growing and changing. Horses may come and go depending on what’s best for them as not every horse wants to or can be in a lesson and training program their whole life. Regardless, our goal is to always provide the best quality and care for our herd while we have them for however long that may be.
